Senior Companions are a team of caregivers. They are healthy, older adults who help other adults live independently. Senior companions make the lives of those they serve less lonely.
The Senior Companion Program matches volunteers, age 55 or older, with homebound, at-risk seniors who need non-medical support in order for them to remain independent, at home, and socially connected. SCP volunteers often provide social interaction, transportation, and a variety of other personal services.
